Hi,
I am a frequent user of historical tester and have used earlier today without problem. Suddently, my strategies do not create trades when tested in hist tester. I have not changed my setup and a cold shut-down did not fix the problem.
The java console shows the following:
Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received close_notify during handshake at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Alerts.getSSLException(Unknown Source) at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.SSLEngineImpl.fatal(Unknown Source) at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.SSLEngineImpl.fatal(Unknown Source) at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.SSLEngineImpl.recvAlert(Unknown Source) at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.SSLEngineImpl.readRecord(Unknown Source) at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.SSLEngineImpl.readNetRecord(Unknown Source) at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.SSLEngineImpl.unwrap(Unknown Source) at javax.net.ssl.SSLEngine.unwrap(Unknown Source) at org.apache.mina.filter.support.SSLHandler.unwrap0(SSLHandler.java:657) at org.apache.mina.filter.support.SSLHandler.unwrapHandshake(SSLHandler.java:613) at org.apache.mina.filter.support.SSLHandler.handshake(SSLHandler.java:493) at org.apache.mina.filter.support.SSLHandler.writeNetBuffer(SSLHandler.java:562) ... 13 more 25.01.2012 21:24:37.531 WARNING datacache.u ] Disconnected from data feed server, reason - EXCEPTION_CAUGHT 25.01.2012 21:27:29.574 SEVERE actions.StrategyTesterAction ] One of the instruments requested by the strategy is not selected
and the historical tester report show the following two lines for each trade order : 2011-01-06 20:00:00 Order canceled Order [usjp1327498096002, USD/JPY, BUY, 872.68 at 0.0] canceled because of failed validation 2011-01-06 20:00:00 Order submitted Order [usjp1327498096002, USD/JPY, BUY, 872.68 at 0.0] submitted by the strategy
Can you please investigate and inform me of the cause of the problem and a solution?
Thanks

Apparently there has been a problem on datacache server side, if the problem does persist, please delete local historical cache data in order to reinforce the datacache to get reloaded.

Dear Support,
The problem remain. I have re-installed java and JForex client, cleared java cache. I no longer get the java console error message, but my strategies show same error. This issue relates to USDJPY but not to EURUSD. you help appreciated!

Hi Support,
I have cleaned up my system, re-installed everything, and fixed a bug in my code, and all is in order again. Thanks for your response.
