Is there a simple way to draw small markers (e.g. dots/icons) for a particular point (i.e. centered at particular time-price coordinates.) ?

I want to use this to denote fractals and other kinds of events, which occur at a particular point in price-time space.

I think I am looking for something like an analog to the MQL4 function
ObjectCreate(...OBJ_ARROW...)

In https://www.dukascopy.com/wiki/index.php?title=IChart I can only find support for objects with spatial extent.

Did you check the examples under the same link with SIGNAL_UP and SIGNAL_DOWN?

Thanks, yes I saw them. But they are not practical for my application because of their large size and because I don't necessarily want to associate a direction (up/down) with all my markers. Is it possible to use different icons/symbols than that red/green up/down arrow? Even a dot would be fine for my application.

You can plot on chart all of IChartObject object types and their combinations.

At the current implementation the closest that you can get to the dot is IEllipseChartObject.

Thanks. The last time I checked, I remember ellipses snapped to the underlying candle grid, which makes them too big. I now looked at

hoping that some new chart objects had been added in the mean time, but I couldn't spot any.

Could we log a feature request for ISymbolChartObject, and provide some choice of symbols? Would be very useful.

There is no necessity to do that, as you can draw symbols by using the ITextChartObject. We added an example to the wiki:
