On my last trade (last Friday) SL was 37 pips. This (Monday) morning my loss was not 37 pips but 174. I'm out, the horse is dead but what happened.

Greetings,
It's because of the large Weekend Gap on the Monday open.
It's just like you have a SL at 20 pips during a news release and the slippage generates a gap in the price of 30 pips against you. Then you will have a 30 pips loss even if your SL was placed at 20 pips.
