DEAR DUKASCOPY SUPPORT TEAM, DEAR TRADERS,

after not hearing for a while any news of the user "erric1", who lost in the january contest the first place to me due to a better evaluation of my blog by DUKASCOPY,
this guy has transformed himself to the purest hater of my person one can imagine. he harrasses me and stalks me in a way which one can only describe as pathetic.
in different blogs of other traders for example and also in mine. anyway. i dont care about that.

BUT:

i guess we all should care a bit when such pathetic personal shortcomings start influencing the TOP TEN RANKING.

after erric1 was quite for a while, he yesterday appeared in my blog, left 3 hater-messages, which i reported.
he used exactly the same sick diction and the ill narrated words erric1 always used. again showing the degree of personal problem
he has with my person. 9 months later, this guy still is not managing to get over my first prize in january.

smart as he is, he now calls himself "errica" instead of "erric1". right after completing his first manipulation in the blog of nickel01 (pos. 2),
adding yesterday almost 300 comments in 2 hours and like this adding up 7 popularity points to nickel01 he came to my blog and left these messages:

and one more thing no matter how much you will try to win this contest again you are doomed to fail, you are doing it for the wrong reasons so just try to be more humble

pathetic,just out of curiosity do you have any live outside this contest...it seems to me you bring your big EGO in here to much often.

interesting coincidence that exactly this user after leaving yesterday almost 300 comments at once in nickel01s blog and after seeing today,
a few hours ago, that this wasnt enough and skytrader stepped today despite "erricas" manipualtion on the 2nd popularity place
(due to the great support of the community, for which i am very grateful and thankful!)... errica now switched his strategy, went today to the blog of
VietCurrency and pumped his popularity points up with 250+ comments in a matter of only 2 hours. in every single comment you click you find a fresh circle comment
of errica.. whether you go in nickel01s blog or in "VietCurrencys" blog. repetitive stuff and the time stamp shows that all this happend in a manipulative way with
only one purpose, to realize his threatening, that " i wont win this thing, bla bla":

besides the fact that such a person perhaps needs a helpful treatement or therapy because he spends his time with hunting "cyber enemies", i feel really sorry for him.
i hope he will find a way out of this vicious circle of HATING and ENVY. i mean what i say.

but regarding the TOP TEN RANKING these severe manipualtions have their effects, not only regarding skytrader, but also for example milani, who right now is about
to lose his 50 POP points. well, what if supporters of the other traders now come up and copy that MANIPULATION METHOD?

the commenting feature then GETS ABSURD.

the system gets destroyed by a simple character who due to his longing for personal satisfaction is willing to endanger other peoples work
(nickel01, VietCurrency, milani, me) and also all the other traders fighting for these community points and also for a constructive and meaningful community).
this problem is not only about manipulating place 1 or 2 or 3. this could also have effects on the final evaluation, of the traders he uses as a tool to satisfy his
hate against skytrader. because: DUKASCOPY has only one way to treat such manipulations:

by taking these point maipulations into consideration in the final evaluation process. that is what DUKASCOPY said when this happened in earlier cases, so, i am pretty
sure that nickel01 and VietCurrency should have themselves a good portion of interset to stop this guy of doing that. i am pretty sure, they will soon realize,
that they can afford TO NOT HAVE THIS SORT OF "SUPPORT"!

last but not least. why is it not possible to ban the user erric1/errica in general by blocking his IP adress permanently? i mean, i dont care for me personal.
i am pretty sure, that i can also manage my contests performance without these 5 points. additionally, the effect of these manipulations now will be, that VietCurrency
will overtake "milani" and get 50 points, but that wont help "errica" much in satisfying his needs as long as i have more points than nickel01.

i really dont care about these 5 popularity points, because i know that DUKASCOPY watches out for this stuff! it has a reason that the final evaluation process takes its time!!!!

i am bringing this up, because this manipualtions are annoying and it could truley effect the monetary outcome of the other places in the TOP TEN and at least it
causes more work and trouble on DUKASCOPYs side to sort things out in the evaluation. another meaning of this thread: to perhaps help finding through a discussion
a way to treat this in general. thats what forums are made for!

this contest is so gorgeous. it deserves more than this one-dimensional sick manipulative attempts!

oh well... update.... yesterday...a few hours after my first posting regarding "errica"... we have a new "supporter" of my direct POPULARITY POINT RANKING NEIGHBORS.

after working on the 300 comments for the trader "VietCurrency" user "errica" had finsihed her duty. now comes to play the next nickname. it is "swingterminator".
why i am so sure that the source is the same guy who harrassed my in many of rahuls threads and also spammed my blog? because he uses the same content and the
same diction and the same portion of hate. he even uses the same sentences. registering a new nickname might be easy for somebody whose mind works this was,
but changing the mind itself is a bit trickier i guess. even a firstgrader can detect this and dukascopy can do this for sure due to the login data. for example when they see,
where the IP adress or adresses come from. surely not the countries the manipulator selected while registering... so...

user "swingterminator" now additionally filled up in a 2nd round nickel01s blog with another 250+ comments. totaling now ridiculous 960 COMMENTS with ONLY 450 unique visitors.
swingterminator like this beamed nickel01 in 60 minutes from 38 POP points to 50 points. the day before YESTERDAY, before the manipulative campaign of errica/swingterminator
started nickel01 had only about 400 comments.

well, erric(a)/swingterminator must be really out of it and also convinced that the people at DUKASCOPY evaluating the final results, screening and researching FOR DAYS,
just to avoid manipulations like this one are blind.....

IN FACT THEY ARE NOT. it is a shame that these people have to put so many work in all this just because of such manipulation attempts.

after finsihing with VietCurrencys 2nd round now errica/swingterminator continues the same system with the guys who are in the POP POINTS directly below me....
alifari, ksalam for example then also received their 200+comments from swingterminator....

please dont missunderstand me. i am pretty sure it is not these traders fault who get now these MANIPUALTIVE POINTs. although some of them could ask themselves
why the suddenly get HUNDREDs of comments and report this. they probably did not order this MANIPULATION. all this happens just because errica/swingterminator HATES ME.

while i find that entertaining, the real question is how long DUKASCOPY will find that entertaining and allow such a disrespectful behaviour and allow errica/swingterminator
to manipulate the blogs and the TOP TEN ranking SO OBVIOUSLY that even a firstgrader can identify that easily.

1500 comments in a few hours. at one point of the manipulation process the smartguy overmanipulataed and suddenly "alifari" was for a short while on place 1 with 50 points...
which ruined erricas attempt to let nickel01 overtake me. that was funny to see. but in fact it is not funny. due to the strong support of the commnutiy and reasonable traders
who are only here for trading and also judge me only for this i got quickly back to 40 points.

BUT: user "milani" and others who had 50 or 45 points now have lost up to 12 points and like this 3 or 4 places in the TOP TEN, ONLY BECAUSE OF THIS!

user "alifari" is a great sportsman! after he saw that i had made a thread in my blog about that, he came and wrote the following:

"alifari yesterday at 19:19 GMT
Skytrader, I also noticed this and have already blocked this user swingterminator and have already informed Dukascopy about this spam."

GREAT! this is exactly how this contests atmosphere should be. i know that a lot of guys hate me because i take the time to bring stuff like that up.
i can easily live with that, because many others dont hate me for exactly the same reason and they appreciate that i spend my time to bring this stuff up.

regarding the haters: in fact they are doing a fantastic job. i guess they simply dont understand how their negative promotion brings me unique visitors
and people reading my blog and analysis or watch my trades. so, thanx for the PROMO guys... i appreciate it.

Why don't we eliminate popularity as an evaluation criteria? Because in fact, what counts is quantity and not quality.... Why don't we put it instead as part of Dukascopy points, it would not be so relevant then.... or just as a complement to get Dukascopy bonus points?
That would avoid many stupid polemics.....

or at least weakenthe POP weight in the formula. i think the evaluation points must gain weight. if dukascopy wants the contest traders one day to be followed
by real money traders automatically, via PAMM accounts and a follower function (you select a trader out of the community, the one you like most and dock
your real money account to that and his trades get automatically traded in your account!) they must also design the contest calculation in a way that enforces safer trading.

if DUKASCOPY wants to develop one day such a model of leading traders and followers, THEY MUST give the evaluation more weight and the popularity less weight
and of course the DRAW DOWN value must be fully in charge. no gambling bonanza with 30%+ DRAW DOWNS per day. right now you have to take much higher risks to be on top.
i am not the only one who blows the account from time to time. with a changing evaluation much more reasonable money and risk management strategies come to play!

a few months ago i made the follwing proposal for the calculation of the ranking points:

PIPS 35%
DUKASCOPY 35%
BALANCE 20%
POPULARITY 10%

in a way they implemented slight changes by cutting the evaluation points and the poopularity to 50! before it was 100 each.

but i think the evaluation has to have more weight! and also the pips.

in the model they have right now my above propsed formula would be something like

PIPS - 200 MAX
DUKASCOPY - 200 MAX
BALANCE 100 MAX
POPULARITY - 50 MAX

since the cut to 50 points in some columns it seems to me that we have much more abrupt changes, because so many traders share less fractions of the points. so perhaps the ranking changes would occur smoother if we have more points to share? this of course depends on the fractions. they can also make the calcualtion smoother and define smaller graduation and leave it to 100/100/30/50.

I totally agree. The way it is now you need to spam people you don't know how "they are your best friend and that you wish them wonderful green pips from the bottom of you heart" in order to be "popular". How that can determine trading skills is beyond me.

Brazil beats Italy with 3-1 in the World Cup Finals. Who are the World Champions - Brazil? Hell no, England is! Why? Because they are more "popular" of course. Make sense?

I don't think there will be any change though. If 2 contestants in the trading/popularity contest have the same score, the trader with the highest pop-score will be highest ranked. This means that the pop-score is more important to Dukascopy than even the equity.
