I really think its best for the contest that TP/SL limits either be increase massively(like doubled) or preferably altogether removed. Its a contest were people are making swing trades, but when moves within a few minutes are well beyond the TP/SL limits it makes it very very hard to be able to grab the pips necessary. CHF today was a big example for many people.

I agree, if not get rid of them, bump them up to 4% or something. I also wish I had access to SNB's internal emails

There is a big probability that we'll soon increase the SL/TP limits or even completely remove this limitation.
This has been amongst our plans for quite a long time and it seems that the right moment to do this is close.

Removing of SL/TP at the time of entering the position is really a good idea in times of high volatile markets like this and more over, 99% of the traders exit their positions before their initial SL/TP.
Instead, they should introduce few more conditions like; if any trader receives margin cut in the month, he will be disqualified from the contest as this rule will make traders to follow money management and risk management. It will certainly bring down the gambling style of trading which we have witnessed in the beginning of the every month.
Increase the minimum no. of trades to 20 before they get dukascopy points and the equity growth of atleast 20%. This is suggested because, when the 2% rule was introduced, dukascopy didn't want the trader to just place one order and wait for the entire month in anticipation of closing the position in profit before end of month.

Why this guy -> https://www.dukascopy.com/tradercontest/ ... =stomarakaHas the ability to put the limit in 1200 pips TP? Its not fair for the other player who cant do that.... he didnt used the trailing stop because the movement was so fast that could had been imposible. Please do something about that its not fair. Also regardig the limits I WILL NOT CHANGE THEM. Because it will penalize good traders and will favour gamble traders. Example Im a rookie but I want to be in top ten. I open 5 position in the same direction. SL=500 TP =500. If Im wrong, I loose nothing. But If im right. I have already like 2500 pips probably top 1. and very good potential dukaspoints. I could just repeat the operation with more leverage and finish top 3 weithout an idea of trading..

If you are watching only one pair, then you can keep modifying the TP/SL every few seconds. how much ever quick it may be......

Hi.
Now SL and TP limits on NZD/JPY is about 58-60 pips - for daily chart impossible to trade. Please conider increase this limits on same pair - for example on NZD/JPY.
