Hello Dukies :!: 8-) ,

anybody knows if there is an alarm setting on the platform, to put alerts on certain prices you are trying to keep an eye on.

Also, I haven't tried it yet on the trader contest platform, but... is there a way to lets say open two standard lots and in the process of the position if your are up be able to close 1 lot move stop to break even and keep the other one open?

any help would be appreciate it.

Alerts about price level hits are available in the LIVE platform. Alternatively, you may use the "FX Market signals" service: https://www.dukascopy.com/swiss/english/ ... t-signals/

Opening 2 opposite lots of one currency pair is impossible because only one position per currency pair simultaneously is allowed by the rules.

Hi,

thank you for your response.

I don't mean opposite lots. i mean opening a position and closing half and leaving the rest open...

ex: selling two lots on EUR/USD when you are up 40 pips close one lot and leave the other open.

is that possible?

No, only total close is possible.

Yes, in a regular platform (both Demo and Live) it is possible to close positions partially. The trader may close whichever amount he considers necessary (up to 1k).

Hi,
I hope this thread is still alive :)

I am interested in the specific way of closing out parts of a position.

Is it only possilbe for positions already in the market (e.g. i have 2 long lots, so in order to close out one I have to open 1 short lot and merge my positions ....) or is there a way to set various TP limits up front?
Example:
I want to enter a Limit order for 2 lots and I want to specify 2 pairs of "child" orders with the same SL, but different TP for each lot:
1. SL @ price lvl 1 for 1 lot & TP @ price lvl 2 for 1 lot
2. SL @ price lvl 1 for 1 lot & TP @ price lvl 3 for 1 lot

Right now only know of a way to enter SL and TP for the whole position, I haven't found a way to specify child orders like this.

Thank you for your answers.
