If it is the new look of the contest page, it is worse than before.

Nothing has changed in the design of the contest page so far... Changes are planning to come around April, 1st. Together with the general update of the corporate website.
And, by the way, that is not the only major update to be unveiled on April, 1st.
...

what else? I'm curious :) Can you give us a Teaser, please?

A few more days and we will disclose some plans. ;)

Hi support, Just a note on something that could be improved. It seems we can't rate a trade from last week. Some one could have opened good trades Friday evening as I have done and close Monday but because they are from last week they can't be rated even though they are maybe less than a day old. I know system is in place so people aren't rating old trades but is there not a way of disabling the rating after the actual trade is week old rather than from last week? Regards

Thank you for your proposal. That will be noted.

#1: Thank you for the positive appraisal.
#2: Indeed, the function is primarily meant for JForex. That platform is in general focused on chart trading and, therefore, was chosen as the basis for the attachments functionality.
#3: Such an integration is not planned so far. However, we might add the option to share the direct link to a particular entry of the trader blog (currently, the record can be shared only on Twitter & Facebook).

#3: I understand that posting to T/FB creates a link back to Dukascopy, which is what we want to generate traffic. Adding more social networks is not necessary from my point of view as any contestant can share any link to his Dukascopy blog via his favourite social network. What I proposed was to allow URL parsing to link or even inline display of graph (as it is now with Show Chart/Screenshot feature) from external chart sharing websites. But it is true that anybody can copy/paste a URL... (When writing this - an idea came up that it could also be solved in browser via a plugin...)

Thank your for your proposal. We will include it in the consideration list for eventual future implementation.

#3 update: I think adding such possibility for individual entries would be great; maybe also add more social networks?

#4 new consideration: Signle Sign-On (using Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, OpenID, etc.) - could it ease the process of registration into Dukascopy Forex Community and diminish problem with multiple registrations?

Re: Horacio

#4: this feature is going to be released very soon. It's already developed and is not undergoing testing. Although we are not going to limit the registration to social networks-assisted only (that would discriminate those contestants that are not actively using any of the social networks), we will allow registration and logging in via Facebook.

Dear contestants,

As you may have noticed, we have just switched to a completely new design both of the Dukascopy Bank SA corporate website and the trader contest. Along with that, we have launched the new FX Video contest.

As it often happens, at first you may notice certain minor "bugs". We are collecting them and all of those will be fixed timely. Currently you cannot see your rank charts and the bars in the statistics are not always reflected correctly.

Please kindly be patient. We will fix all the issues until the coming weekend.

We apologize for the temporary inconveniences evoked by the restructuring of the website.

Regards,
Dukascopy Forex Community support

How did some contestants noted in March contest get into negative equity balance territory IF Dukascopy's system does NOT allow any trading overdrive above 100% while it protects clients' open positions with margin cut?

Please look at the record movements on the JPY that happened on March, 16th. That is the reason why some highly leveraged (or over-leveraged) traders depleted their accounts. Given the huge amount of the position (in comparison with the equity), the value of 1 pip of such a position and the scale of the JPY one-time movements on that day, the entire remaining equity and the 100 USD minimum margin requirement may have got drawn down within one price tick before the closure of the account.

That situation is extremely rare, but it still can happen if several factors are coincide simultaneously:
1. Highly leveraged open positions (~100% and more)
2. Comparatively small remaining equity
3. Huge and rapid price movement (e.g. gap, news etc.)

On March, 16th for some of the contest traders all those 3 factors fall took place simultaneously, which lead to a negative equity appearing on their contest accounts.

Please try to clean the cache of the browser. Your info is reflected correctly. Probably, it's an issue with old "cookies".

Post subject:  Popylarity points

Dukasccopy is OK, Contest is OK, Popylarity points OK, BUT extremely heavy valuated. "Hit the road Jack" someone could say. No thank you. I am back in the boat with all of you because I like the game.
By the way I do understand how to get those points. But how do I lose them? At one point yesterday I have had 8 points, after couple hours 4, after that 1, than 0, this morning I've had 4 and now I' got zero again.
Any explanation.
Thank's
