Yes, there was a mistake in rules. As I have confirmed you above, at least 10 trades are required to qualify at the end.

Post subject:  Re: last trading days in April

The last 2 trading days are left! The ranking still might change at any time! Especially, when we will start verifying the strategy code, as the contestants are not allowed to use manual trading, multiple strategies within one contest account and outsources trading algorithms.

If my strategy code have not placed any order so far, can I change the code and recompile to start it again?

Of course! The first strategy ID will be assigned only when the first trade will be made on the account. At the end of the contest we will compare all the following trades with the first one.

17:00:00 Order 29453707 was REJECTED: Rejected by counterparty
17:00:00 Order ACCEPTED: #29453709 TAKE PROFIT SELL 3 mil. GBP/JPY @ LIMIT 144.83 IF BID => 144.83 - Position #7779863
17:00:00 Order ACCEPTED: #29453708 STOP LOSS SELL 3 mil. GBP/JPY @ MKT IF BID <= 143.83 - Position #7779863

Why do I always get this for any value of slippage (0-5)? I have back tested and did not get this message during back testing.

Perhaps, the prices just expired. Usually, you get reject if the price expires or the slippage value is too small.

Well...you could find him at the bottom of the ranking table. The guys was too aggressive in his trading.

Started with 100 000 and reached 1 000 000 already in 2 weeks.

But what's interesting, he wasn't even trading with a strategy which means he would be nevertheless disqualified at the end of the month. Perhaps, if he could automate his trading idea and use less leverage, he could succeed.

Post subject:  Maximal DD rule?

"How would you turn the contest into a more challenging competition? Tell us in the JForex Community Forum, or here in the comments."

I have an idea, that we need to see the competitors maximal relative draw down! I think this competition needs the first to close out the gambler strategies from the competition. It needs some maximal draw down rule, or penalty for the huge relative DDs. Then we need to concentrate to make strategies that works in real life too! I think it's the most important part of the competitions, to make new improvements, strategies, etc. that can use real accounts too. (of course with not more risk than investors can accept!)

Post subject:  Re: DD rule

Well, there are some changes in rules underway. We are planning to limit the amount of simultaneously opened positions to 1 and limit the maximum profit on position to 50% of the account balance.

As for DD, it's more a statistical output. And, of course, we should understand that the contest strategy has to be more aggressive then the normal one.

Post subject:  Equity chart

As you can see, the contest interface was updated. Now it includes the Equity chart. The data in Equity chart includes the intra-day PNL and fully matches the results of the ranking table. You also able to view the Equity chart on previous months.
