Please, look at these two trades.

1. khaldonm (SY)
EUR/USD SELL 4292.007K @ 1.32835
09.08.2010 12:53:01
khaldonm; Regular; 9445687;

2. moonlight (SY)
EUR/USD BUY 4292.007K @ 1.32843
09.08.2010 12:53:01
moonlight; Regular; 9445688;

Two consecutive trades (#9445687 and #9445688), opened on the same pair at the same moment with exactly the same size at different directions. Both participants are from the same country. Can you believe that it is just coincidence? I can't. Obviously, these two trades were made by ONE man, it's just cheating.

Thanks for the feedback! You're very observant :) Of course, we will check all strategies to avoid any cheating!

We have made analysis of trades and have come to the following decision:

All positive trades of khaldonm which are mirrored on the different account will be cancelled. All negative trades will be counted in!

We will also check the trades of khaldonm in the previos month and use the same approach.

Additionally, we are adding a new rule to September. Any attempts to cheat will result in automatic disqualification at the end of month.

Please check also this pair of contestants:
Country Participant Total Trades Turnover Daily Income Total Balance
LT Sarceb 2 19.85 49916.96 149916.96
LT mege 2 19.87 -52444.74 47555.26

Both participants from LT decided to make the first trade in the contest simultaneously, on Aug-13, and got contrary results. Unfortunately, we cannot see their trades if they are closed before the update of the ranking table.

These trades were made with 1 hour difference and with slightly different price (6 pips). But what's is interesting, the amount of trades is exactly the same (635 000 units).

mege 13-AUG-10 08:05:02 OPEN BUY 134.58 6350000
Sarceb 13-AUG-10 07:00:05 OPEN SELL 134.64 6350000

Can it be considered cheating? We don't know yet. But we will keep monitoring them till the end of month.

1. Sarceb (LT)
GBP/JPY SELL 9496.184K @ 133.905
16.08.2010 19:35:05
Sarceb; Regular; 9647781; SHORT; GBP/JPY

2. spurga (LT)
GBP/JPY BUY 6350K @ 133.946
16.08.2010 19:35:06
spurga; Regular; 9647782; LONG; GBP/JPY

Oops! They did it again :)
Two participants from LT opened trades #9647781 and #9647782 simultaneously at different direction, using all their deposit. Sarceb had 150K before the trade, spurga had 100K.

No wonder that Sarceb won July's contest.

Sarceb was really OK in July.

Here are other participants from Lithuania in July:

Buga - this account was registered by Sarceb but as some requirement were missing, the contestant asked to remove the account from the list. Later he registered under new nickname Sarceb.
jokubka - this is the account which was disqualified because the strategy contained annotation @Configurable
gudre - the participant was initially in the TOP-10 but he was also disqualified according to the Contest Rules - multiple registration is prohibited.
KKarlos - only manual trades were made on the contest account. This resulted in another disqualification.

How do you get information of the trades placed by someone else?

in the charts for the contest (https://www.dukascopy.com/swiss/english/ ... gy_contest), you just press the RSS button and you can see, whether that person had a trade opened at the time the statistics were last updated

So did you figure out if khaldonm was doing right think previous month?

If the observation is true, chances are that the trader might stop doing it further after reading this comment because he is already in top 10.

All participants with repeated trades are out of TOP-10. Most of repeated trades were removed and some participants were even disqualified. We will keep our eyes wide open to avoid any unfair behaviours.
