Hi!

While testing Elder's Triple screen I stumbled upon discrepancies between Daily and Hourly quotes.

Example

Hourly, EURUSD

On this chart the low of February 15th is 1.05214

Image

Daily, EURUSD

Now the date of Feb. 15th moved one candle to the right! And the cursor is standing on Feb 14.

Image

Why is it so?

Regards,
Raman Maladziashyn

Hello, I guess your settings are causing the discrepancy:

I could reproduce your problem with these settings:

Settings>Preferences>General>Platform time zone: GMT (UTC)
Settings>Preferences>Chart>Day Start time: EET (UTC+2)

Changing the second setup to

Settings>Preferences>Chart>Day Start time: GMT (UTC)

Aligns the date correctly.

Francisco

Exactly!

The days are calculated in EET zone by default in JF. This is to avoid 6 days every week (Sunday as the 6th day). You are looking at this candle from the UTC (Platform/General/Platform time).

In order to avoid this, please set both settings to same time zone.

I did not notice there is another timezone in the platform, now i've checked my personal configuration and following points seem confusing
- Is there reason to have 2 different settings at all? Is there use-case for a user when when these time zones should be different?
- I just can't configure platform in the recommended way for my timezone because list of time zones is different in these comboboxes - UTC+3 is not available for Charts (v3.2.15, API v2.13.40).
