Hi, I went into task manager and I noticed Jforex uses way too much memory and I only run 1 chart on it and much less indicators than Metatrader. When compared with Metatrader it is only using 31.5MB of memory with more charts and more indicators while Jforex I only have 1 chart and 3 indicators yet it uses 317.3MB of memory. What gives? Why is Jforex using way too much memory? No wonder this thing is so slow. Any recommendation I need to do other than purchasing more RAM?

And so I disabled and remove all indicators and strategies maybe one of them is the culprit and still. It's using way too much memory.

I think you are misunderstanding how Java works, if you put a few more indicators it's not going to need 600 MB all of a sudden )

This is how Java Virtual Machine (JVM) works. What you see in the memory usage in Windows task manager is not what actually is being used by JVM. JVM reserves more memory, but not uses it neccessarily. If you want to check the actual memory used, you need to enable "Show Java memory heap" in Preferences\Advanced. It will be shown in the status bar of main frame.

In comparison to Metatrader, it is different language, different technologies, different possibilities. Different advantages and perhaps drawbacks.
