Hi,
I have a strategy that works fine in JForex, but fails with a NullPointerException in JForex 4. The attached strategy is a "stripped down" version of it. I would like some help to solve this problem. What should I try next?
When I run it it JForex 4, the log (attached) shows the NullPointerException occurs at line 45, the first time the feed descriptor is used.
When I compile in JForex 4, these are the messages:
03/01/2015 15:06:09 Compilation successful. Strategy ID: 17923FA55EC28F46AED2C9D39BA1CF70
03/01/2015 15:06:09 Annotation processing got disabled, since it requires a 1.6 compliant JVM
03/01/2015 15:06:06 Compiling TestJF4FeedDescriptor.java
I have Java 8 Update 25. I notice that JForex uses Java 8 Update 25 Version 8.0.250, but JForex 4 uses Java 8 Update 25 (64-bit) Version 8.0.200.26. I don't know if this is significant.
I have only tried this when the markets are closed, but it still works with JForex.

A little more information...
Since first reporting this, I noticed that I had 3 versions of Java 8 update 25 installed; 32-bit, 64-bit and development. Now I have uninstalled them all and re-installed only the 32-bit version (8.0.250.18).
The problem remains the same.

Please tell me if strategies are enabled in JForex4.
Should I continue to try to solve this non-working strategy problem, or is it expected that strategies do not work?
