Every window (frame) is independent. If you have undocked some widget to new frame, you can drag'n'drop the widget back to the old frame by dragging its header. Closing the frame would mean closing it and all the widgets inside it.
If you just need the chart or any other widget to be fullscreened for a moment, use Full screen (F11) function. Select the widget and press F11. Select the frame and press F11 to full screen the frame. You can double click the widget header to expand it inside the dock (container) as well, if that's enough.

I am having same issue: re-docking a chart which has been undocked and now sits in a independent window (frame) ... I am dragging window frame by its header and trying to drop it into the main frame but am unable to do so ... hope attached image might help.

Please, disregard my last inquiry regarding re-docking window ... found out how it works: the independent window with chart is returned to main window when you it is closed (using header controls) ... now it makes sense ... sorry for the trouble.
