Version 4.08 has been released.

Among the most interesting changes is the way Renko charts are calculated. We have changed the calculation according to Steve Nison's theory. User needs to select the session length, price and base period length now in Preferences/Charts/Period settings. The first price or base price is rounded to 1 point if bricks less than 5 points, 5 points if from 5 to 9 points, and 10 points if more than 10.

All price based charts can be calculated without base periods now. We used to separate the calculation in pieces (base periods) in order to improve the speed. Base period used to be 1 week, but can be customized from 1 to 7 days in old Jforex at the moment. In JForex4 user can switch base period to "Infinity" or start the calculation from the start of the historical price data. This influences the speed of the calculation very much, as renko needs to be calculated from the first price in history (base price) in contrast to the first price in the base period (every week). In order to avoid waiting every time the period is changed or chart open, we cache all the price based period calculation results in local memory now.

To sum up, all of the following influence the renko calculation speed the first time you open the chart:

    * session length. The more data, the longer the calculation.
    * historical data download speed
    * amount of points. The more points, the more data needs to be processed to show enough bricks on the chart
    * base period. If "Infinity" chosen, renko will be caclulated from the first price available in the history. So, more time needed.

In order to visualize the base periods, enable period separators in chart toolbar (button is hidden by default. Open context menu to unhide it) or use shortcut Ctrl+D.

More info on Renko calculation is going to be published on wiki soon.

One more great feature: you can full screen any widget now. If focus is not on the widget, but on the frame (left click on the main window header), full screen will be applied to the frame.
