We sometimes see the tester cutting off big chunk of data BEFORE the start of the run.
In the below screenshot1 on DAILY you see a timemarker on the first day of the tester run (
28-APR-2009) and the day before, which is shown as
(
31-DEC-2008).
In screenshot2 on ONE_HOUR (taken at the same time of the run) you see the first timemarker of the run set at
(
28-APR-2009 00:00) and the marker before, which is shown as (
31-MAR-2009 23:00).
Filter is set to ALL_FLATS. You can see in screenshot2, that the indicators (in this case ZigZag and EMA) are being calculated according to the data drawn, i.e. as if the data gap was really there.
If starting the run from a different date (in this case for instance a few days earlier - on 24-APR-2009), the gap will be shown before 24-APR. This shows that the data cache does have all the data. (It's not that the datacache is missing the data...)
