Strategy Contest Participants share programs fail to make profits in back testing the exact time they show winning,
Why?
Is there a difference between back test and forward run?
I have tested several of the programs and many show no profits on the exact time they have made winning for the competition
I tried them with different settings and still no luck
Is there something that I don't know? and I should
I understand that data feed should be very much the same for live, demo or testing, right?
OK, let's see if we can figure this out, the shared programs should be doing the about same as when they are winning.
I'll keep in touch to follow this issue,

Hi,
On the question about the difference between back-testing and forward run: it is indeed different. Backtest is based in past market data where forward run or real time run is based on prices not known yet (future). This seems very obvious so I'm not sure if your question is about that.
Besides, you have to check whether your account settings in terms of commission, equity, leverage etc are the same when running your back-tests compared to your account (Live or Demo)
Thanks !
