I want a strategy that will close one third of my open position in the selected instrument
For the position opened in specified instrument (default EURUSD)
- when bid price reaches a specified take profit level (TP1) close one third (1/3) of position - when bid price reaches the next specified profit level (TP2) close another third of the position - when the bid price reaches the next specified profit level close remaining amount
I attach where I have got to. This seems to close positions immediately irrespective of price. What have I done wrong please

Hi,
You did right using the partial close block and the calculation to get the third of the open position amount. I just made a quick example for you but did not test it thoroughly...

Not quite what I am after, but thank you.
This opens another position. I want to be able to run the strategy to partyially close existing positions not ones open using a strategy.
Because there is no facility to partially close a position at a specified level I want to use this strategy to manage my positions without me hovering my finger over a mouse. So for example I wanted to go long on Cable, I wanted profit points at Big Round Numbers at 1.555, 1.56 and 1.565 and wanted to have these orders waiting to be triggered by the strategy rather than my not so alert berain trying to catch them. How do I achieve that?
EDIT:
This actually opens as many positions as your account can handle so DO NOT DOWNLOAD

Hi,
Well basically the example posted is a developed according the information that you posted. It is a sample idea that implements partial closure with a computed amount.
- If you need a strategy that monitors your manual trading activity, you have to use the position viewer block or the "Trade Event" start point that will catch the information related to the open positions and update the closure request and the calculation that is made afterwards. - There is a way to catch what you called "Big Round numbers" but we need more information about that: How many rounded price are you looking for ? at which level with regards to the open price ? can you provide concrete examples?
Cheers
