Hi there, I have created a strategy using SMA crossover and DMI to time entries, I have used a SL but no TP. The exit it set up so as to take place when the SMA's cross back over each other.
However, it does not work! Trades are entered correctly but they only ever exit once SL is reached, never when the SMA's cross back over - every trade is a loser.
I have studied a previous thread from this forum and even copied the setup for the EXIT but must have made some mistakes or had some misunderstandings somewhere along the line.
I have attached the file, if anybody could help out with this I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks

It happens because strategy calculates SMA and DMI only if there is no positions. If there is one positions new values of SMA and DMI are not calculated but only compared in IF blocks.
