VJF Source code not working in Live

Hi Guys ,

I am wanting to get the system I have built onto my live account for live testing- the system runs fine during Historical Testing from the VJF Platform,

When I copy the source code over to the live platform, then compile - the system no longer works when I click TEST , then test vs 3 months data.

I will attach the vfx and source file. I understand that VJF is in Beta - but feel the goal should be to get the systems onto the live account (lol its how you guys get paid afterall!)

Let me know how to fix this problem!

Hello Support,

I have remade the system without changing any of the auto created variables - made from scratch (i.e didnt copy blocks from the other file) and still have the same problem.

I have attached the new version of same strategy and java file (interesting thing this java file is less lines).

This still does not work - have you had a chance to look into this issue?

What you mean by "does not work"? It is working, without exceptions both on live and on demo. I tested it with default params, last week and with Visual JForex Interface.
It doesnt open any positions, but I suppose it happens due to the strategy logic and market conditions.

Hello Support,

It doesnt open any positions Is the issue.


To clarify my issue - The visual jforex historical tester works fine - no error , it opens and closes trades, and the system executes as the logic dictates. As per these photos:

Please note I have changed the settings to generate more trades for testing purposes.

I then launch DEMO or LIVE JForex and import the source code , the compile. (Bandbuild1.java is the file im using).

When i try to test the system (rightclick the strategy name, the click test) then run a test - the strategy does not generate trades.

The above chart photo should have about 10 trades in it
That tells me that there is a problem the source code generator from Visual JForex.

SO when I run the system on LIVE data (not historical) I found I get the following error:

I believe that means that the calculation expression working out the trade size does not convert over in the source code generator.
Also the error for line 572 references if the trade is long or short (bool).


Does that clarify my issue better? Can you help me with this?

Hello Support,

For your Info - The issue is with the calculation expression. I broke the calcuation expression into 3 seperate calculations and this fixed the problems.
