Dears Sirs, Could you complement the renkos charts with the following new types derived from traditional renko? As per attached image: Not gap Renko Rail-to-Rail Renko It would be useful to show the current Renko and the median Renko brick updated in real time like in Range based chart. Would you be so kind as to implement this new features. Best Regards Thanks Sorte

Seconded! One of the selling points for JForex is the good handling of Renko and other non time-based aggregations, so adding more flexibility would be welcomed by all the Renko users you have attracted. A more common name for the Rail-to-Rail Renko is Point Original, but there doesn't seem to be a standard. It's an interesting bar because it offers more information on tight ranges and breakouts. If you are only going to offer one of these options, this would be the one to go for because it opens up the options for new types of strategy. Even better than adding the forms requested would be to offer a configurable Renko, as provided by some MT plugins. You only need 3 settings to define all possible Renko bars. For example, the Point Original settings would be: Continuation open offset % = 0 Reversal open offset % = 0 Reversal bar size % = 100 PS - while we are on the subject of Renko, one of my gripes is that the tails are not preserved in the historical tester and in the historical data download. This is a pretty major downer for those of us who use the tails in our algos. |
