Could we get a Market Profile (Time Price Opportunity) for JForex? Ideally this would include - letters drawn on the chart by configurable interval (30M default) for configurable period (default daily). - Initial Balance (1st 2 periods - default 1HR) as a bar shown beside the TPO histogram on the chart - POC (Point of Control) - Value Area High (VAH) - Value Area Low (VAL) Attachment:

Volume histogram and ability to split profile out to show movements during the period (see first picture for example) and show volume POC. (Volume point of control). Attachment:

You should show what you want based upon a real example from Forex, and not from ES Futures.
Time and Sales are available in Futures, but are not in Forex, for example.
In my own software, I derive a Time and Sales from DOM behavior, but it can only be an estimate.

HyperScalper Hi Hyperscalper TPO marketProfile doesn't refer to or use Time and Sales. I think you might be confusing this request with my other current topic I'm after exactly what was stated above in the original request. Happy to expand upon the detail if support decides to take this up.

I see what you mean. An interesting idea since volume is not required. I plan to look into some analytics like that..... However, I'm sure the DOM is more immediately predictive, but this TPO sounds interesting. But how does it differ from just a histogram of quoted volumes at price, for which custom indicators already exist ? The more time spent at a given price, the more quoted volume at that price. It probably turns out that the peak frequencies, which relate to the longer times spent, are correlated with commonly identifiable Support and Resistance levels. But this is still very interesting. HyperScalper. There are now quite a few market technicians who use Volume Profile and Market TPO to trade. Market Profile (and volume profile) helps define key support and resistance levels, shows how the market auction is working (i.e. price discovery via market auction around fair value). Traders can use the initial balance (price auction range over the first 1HR after market open typically) to attempt to define what kind of trading it will be - trending, or ranging - and on the basis of that, can use the most recent auction (or market or volume profile over the most recent significant swing) to anticipate how price will behave when it reaches the extreme edges of the profile. In a nutshell, if price approaches the upper or lower edge of say the previous days profile, then prices at this level will be rejected and the auction will "rotate" back toward the high volume node of the profile. Traders fade the extremes of the current profile. The tricky part of using market profile is distinguishing when "other timeframe participants" step in and initiate a large amount of selling or buying... when this happens price will break through the profile extremes and push on to the next high volume node(s) on a larger timeframe profile. IMHO Market profile is the best tool for determining real support and resistance levels in the market, and probably the most reliable tool for day trading.
