Hi I am trying
1. Get the mean price from previous 1 hour candle
2. add 20 pips to mean price as long pending position (set as 15 minutes candle)
3. subtract 20 pips to mean price as short pending position (set as 15 minutes candle)

But it seems not working. Please help see what I did wrong.

Hi,

The amount traded is wrong: remember that the default traded amount is set in millions so you may need to consider dividing by 1000000 the result of your calculation.

I have 2 questions..
1. Related to the Set Buy/Sell, how can I set just for the current candle. For example when long/short pending position at mean price +/-20pips, once it passes the current 15 minutes candles , it should discard the pending position, and create next pending position so that I will not have many pending orders if not meet.

Question 2 is related to Parabolic SAR, I want to set it to default parameter, and the trigger short when first Parabolic SAR dot appears above the candlesticks and the trigger long when first Parabolic SAR dot appears below the candlesticks. Do you have the example for this strategy?

I'm not sure I fully understand your first question. Could you please reformulate ?

If you only need to limit the number of pending positions then simply use the "Pending position Amount" variable for your condition .


2/ Sorry but I do not have any pattern that uses parabolic SAR as you described but you can do it yourself and let me know at which level you are blocked if any ...

Could you please explain in detail the trading idea ? the overall trading idea including its parameters, entry and exit conditions and at which level you get stuck
I don't get why you cannot build what you're saying in VJF...

Please pay attention to the following:
- Working with last candle: The last candles data belongs to candle being constructed, thus the only known variable when a candle starts is the open price. The close price, the high and Low prices cannot definitely known till the candle is completely finished. why? because the market price is still moving till the candle period expires and thus the candle attributes will be determined at the end.
- make sure there is no condition blocking or limiting the execution of your action. Also, remember that conditions plugged out of 15mn candle period will be checked every 15mn (end of the candle)
- It doesn't make sense to plug OnTick start point if you work on candle periods (unless you know what are doing). It increases the strategy resources and may result in inconsistencies .
- We do not build strategies on behalf of users but rather help achieving certain actions, complex conditions based on best practices and our product knowledge. I'll be more than happy to give you detailed information on how the different components works in VJF so that you can achieve anything you want at the end of day. All the provided examples to users needs to be tested thoroughly in both demo and live / VJF and Jforex environments.
