I suppose that onCandle StartPoint should make action just once on every candle. Is that right?

Hi

Yes, on candle startpoint is triggered by candles periods starting at 10 sec's (i think) period if not used any period filter.

Regards

- but when also onTick StartPoint is used together with onCandle, than onCandle is activated few times per bar

Can you hep me with that please?

Thanks,

.. it looks like the onBar StartPoint is 'working' few times per bar rather than once per Bar.

???

I need more information to check this, but overall, when you plug both Ontick and Oncandle start points to the same block , it is obvious that the tick refresh will take over as it more sensitive and requires more updates compared to 10sec candle period. But still, you should also see OnCandle highlighted every 10 sec if no period filter is applied.

Sorry, I don't understand ... can you please elaborate on the upper ?

Cheers

thanks for heads up :)

1. in that case I am facing the problem, the onCandle is not connected to same blocks as onTick

2. probably the confusion is based on my assumption that onCandle 'works' once per every Candle. Now it looks like that onCandle works every cca 10 sec

3. if so, than it should be called "on10sec StartPoint" rather than "onCandle StartPoint"

What you think?

On candle is indeed candle based, a candle period gets the standard Jforex candle periods. When you don't specify a given period it logically subscribe to the minimum available period which is 10 seconds. More information about this here: https://www.dukascopy.com/vfhelper/arti ... _locale=EN

All right, that is clear.

So the problem is that I did not set up the "candle period", even I did set up time periods on every other places (that is on every spot which looks like time period definition).

Please specify where to set up the "candle period"?

Thanks Amine for all your help. Real support indeed!

Well, generally speaking period filters comes in the very beginning of the strategy unless you want to use many periods whithin the same strategy. But it is all about strategy specification which is not described anywhere in this thread ;)
What is your trading idea and at which level are you blocked ? any example in vfs ?

Thanks in advance!
