Hi,
Fractal Indicator it is a series of at least five successive bars, with the highest HIGH in the middle, and two lower HIGHs on both sides. The calculations of the highest highs / Lows is indeed possible but the question is how will you use these data ?

Sorry for the late reply.
I was planning to use fractals to determine market conditions. Is the price trending up or down or is it ranging. And if ranging then how big is distance between swing hi\low. If price is trending then apply a trending strategy and if ranging then trade between hi\low or place a pending order for breakout. Depending on distance of hi\low.
Regards.

Alright,
I'm not sure what you are willing to do but I'll let you do it using the attached example that retrieves the Highest and lowest from a set of candles. Up to you to insert it in your strategy and develop your idea.
Cheers

Hi,
Can you please brief a little about the "Highest" and "Lowest" variable used in this VFS? Why it is assigned to '0' and '2000' respectively and at last again assigned to CandleGroup value?
