The font size update will get fixed with the next JForex DEMO platform release. For on-tick updates uncheck "Calculate once per bar" in Connector properties dialog - open it before compilation, see the second picture here:

I did what you mentioned but still no update with the last candle, it should count down the remaining time for the last candle.
you can try it yourself to figure it out.

Did you recompile the indicator after unchecking "Calculate once per bar"? Just in case, please try deleting the .jfx file and then make sure "Calculate once per bar" is unchecked, then compile and plot it on chart.

The pre-compile "Calculate once per bar" setting is there on purpose for performance reasons, normally this should be modifiable in run-time from indicator properties dialog "Recalculate on new candle only", which does not work that way at the moment (this will get fixed with future platform releases). In either case, at the moment please try the solution suggested above.
