Very slow strategy compiling - why?

These last one or two weeks, it takes several (up to 10) minutes to compile a simple (less than 100 lines) strategy.

I have a i7 3.4 GHz processor with 8Gb ram + 5Mbit ADSL line. Is there a problem?

Also, I am having great problems in using the historical tester - often my jForex application freezes and needs to be restarted via Task Manager.

Thanks for any input you may have.
