Historical Tester writes "Getting prices before start time" for ever and does not start the backtest.
Even though I have downloaded the historical data in previous versions.
Aren't they compatible?
Please help urgently, I cannot backtest anymore with DEMO!

seen in JForex
DEMO 2.17
API 2.6.68

when I restart JForex I get many errors in the console:

....

I close all open charts and if I start the Historical Tester I get the same type of error again.

This bug does not appear in LIVE, which is v2.15.3.3 currently.
Please correct this asap!

Same problem here. I've loaded version 2.6.68 this morning in Demo, and there's no data loaded after 11 May.

Moreover, when I try using the Historical Tester, it doesn't get past "Getting prices before start time". I've attached a file with the errors from the Java console.

Please fix this urgently!

Please supply us with a
  • JForex DEMO BETA version and a
  • JForex DEMO version
to avoid these unsatisfying situations in the future!
Be sure I will test every DEMO BETA when it is released. But then my programs are still running with the stable DEMO version.

We know about this problems form former times. Because we are signal providers, for our work it was very important to give the clients the chance to check our performance on DEMO before using the signals on their live accounts.

DC seams not to solve this problem until today. We find another broker without such problems. For our accounts and for the clients accounts....

I second Bernhard on this issue.

Testing strategies on the demo platform is paramount before going live, having to battle versions full of bugs like this one is not helping, lot of work has to be re-done.

Im seriusly considering changing back to MT4 if this keeps on like this.
