When I start up the JF platform for the first time on a clean Windows installation, I am prompted as to whether Java should be allowed through the Windows firewall or not. Is it necessary to allow it or will JF fully function without this hole?

The reason I ask is that, to all appearances, JForex seems to work without this exception/hole.
