Hi,

I'm trying to understand how the method IHistory.readTicks works.

As far as I understand the historical ticks gets first searched in the local cache folder.
But what happens when no ticks are in the local cache?
Are the missing ticks(if any!!) downloaded from the server?
How can one programmatically test if historical data is in the cache?
I would like to log if the data is not in the cache, since then the user can see that the thread listeners are waiting for the downloaded data.

Thanks

Hi FXjuxe!

Yes, if needed tick data is not present in local cache, then it will be downloaded from the server. JForex API does not provide ability to check if requested data is already stored in cache or downloading is needed. Currently we have no plans to implement that feature, but maybe something will change in the future.
