Hi,

I have been using Dukascopy platform for about a month now. Lately I have been having a lot of problems with my platform (both JForex and Java).

Whenever I want to place order or open up my settings, it will either hang or give me an error Java Runtime Error 1722.

I have tried unsinstalling and reinstalling all my Java applications via Windows Control Panel. But I am still having the same error. I have even signed up to various DEMO accounts.

Can anybody help?

SYMPTOMS

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installation has not completed and an error appears:

Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
CAUSE

Error 1722 is an InstallShield error code. It indicates that the installation process has failed. The exact reason for this error is not known at this time.

WORKAROUND

Please follow the steps below for workaround.
Step 1
Remove any traces of the failed JRE installation by uninstalling JRE.
To uninstall the JRE, follow the instructions at:

Step 2
Download and install the offline installation package from the manual download page:
