Dear all,
I'm wondering if it is possible using VJFX to close a portion of my order.
for example let imagine I have an open position of 2 lots and after getting some benefit I would like that the strategy will close 1 lot (50%).
Thanks for your help and support. BilboFX

Greetings,
Partial close feature is not available in VJF for the time being, but we'll consider this and study its feasibility. Is it mandatory for your strategy ? you can replace this feature by placing opposite trades..
Thanks

Dear Amine,
Thanks for your reply. What do you mean by: "placing opposite trades"?
Best regards; BilboFX

Hi,
If you're long 10.000eurusd and you place a short trade of 5k eurusd the net would be 5k Long. A merge function would simplify this as well: once positions opened and merged the netting is the difference between long and short amounts. Unfortunately, the merge function is quite complicated to implement in Visual Jforex and we would prefer to focus time and effort on the partial closing.
Thanks

Hi Amine,
Thanks for your answers!
Yes I fully agree with you and believe that a "partial closing" is the option to focus in the enhancement of the VJFX.
Best regards; BilboFX

Hi, Well, from a first look, it appears that the strategy works as programmed: When the P&L reaches 10 pips of loss, the strategy closes 4Mio. You need to bear in mind that as long as the P&L is below -10pips the strategy will attempts to close 4 mio, look at this: You can see that the strategy closed the position on 2 different prices (4mio then 4mio) where the P&L was at the specified target. Cheers
