The duality of trading

I painted this while my app traded. Trading is binary. You want to buy or you want sell. Never knowing for certain which will make you money. It's like the two people that live in all of us. The part of you that wants to do the right thing and the other self that constantly wants to do the wrong thing. Like smoke cig's, or eat doughnuts or drink liquer at 9 am. Yea, I was so sick from Lyme and the brain fog that came with it I bought a watercolor kit a year ago and started painting. I don't hate this.

Observation around buy stops and sell stops

I have been shopping my strategy around to a couple of hedge funds here in NYC today. I was asked why my system has experienced such amazing success since I have gone live. After giving this considerable thought I said it's all about buy and sell stops. I can't explain why it works it just does. I mean if I open a market order instead it will always move against me. ALLWAYS! It's insane and totally illogical. But if I place my orders using stops it's like it's a less arrogate statement to the fx…
