Hello every one
Hope you are all well!

In a previous article (price structure) I’ve discuss the price structure In this article I would like to focus on the importance of time and how critical it is to trade profitably and consistently… aligning not only price but also time is a crucial factor in becoming a successful trader.
Many traders might even wonder why would time factor be important in their trading? Why would time matter at all?
Well quite simply the charts we look at are 2 dimensional: we see both price and time plotted on our screens. However, if you scan the internet, it seems like we focus exclusively on 1 dimension: price. Price seems to be the only thing that matters.
For you to truly master the art of trading, you must devote time in analyzing time factor. With proper alignment this powerful tool basically eliminate questionable trades
Ken w. chow who has made up to $12,000 profit in a single day, describe the alignment of time as the magic tool
Now let see how do successful traders use it?
1) Time structure
Time range tells us whether the trend is gaining strength or loosing strength
There are actually 2 applications here: one for trading market and the o…

I believe that the key to successful trading is to feel comfortable in taking the loss.
We know that because the markets are largely efficient, complete predictability will never be achieved. This makes trading more like punch in baseball, where it is possible to achieve a high degree of success, even making frequent mistakes.
Losing traders often try to measure the degree of perfection of their trade. They equate a good day with a profitable trading day. No! A good trading day - is one in which you have followed his well-calibrated trading plan with an appropriate concentration and discipline. Good trading days, after a certain time, will bring profits. But the uncertainty in the markets means that even the best trading plans can go awry. In the short term, you can not control your profitability. You can control whether or not you have a good trading days, which will bring profits in the long run - if you are properly investigated their strategies.
A more realistic trader understands that there is a degree of uncertainty in the market and that the losses are simply the cost of doing this kind of business. The goal is to limit these losses, as efficiently as possible, rather tha…

Fig.1 “Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!”

Chap.1 Introduction
What is the longest yet shortest thing in the world? It is the swiftest yet slowest, the most divisible but most extended, the least valuable and the most regretted, without this, nothing can be done, it devours everything no matter how small and yet opens life and spirit to every object. What is it?
The answer is a time, and also it is this articles main theme.
Which is your time zone of the area you live in? I live in Japan. This area's time zone is GMT+9. In this season, the sun rises in the east at 6 o'clock, and sets in the west at 16 o'clock. And of course my biorhythm is synchronized with this nature rhythm.
Well then, How about a FX market? Does FX market has a something like a biorhythm which is synchronized with a timepiece? So I examined the 484820 orders of my back-test results to see if there are any relationships between open time of orders and average gain pips, for my researched whether there is any rhythms or not.
Chap.2 Sample Strategy and Settings for Back-Test
Sample strategy for this research is MinMaxCounter. It is a kind of breakout-counter strategy. Trading rules is very simple. Let see t…

As a professional trader it's important to know when and what instrument to trade, as well as knowing when not to trade and "sit on your hands". Preservation of capital during times of low profit probability is essential for a long term trading career. During this time of the year traders are likely to perform poorly as market conditions aren't good, and during this time traders must exercise discipline and cease trading. Christmas is a time for families and a relaxing time spent with loved ones. So do yourself a favor and take a break. The markets and opportunities will always be there when you get back. This may be the best trading decision you can make during this time and as well you can recharge your mental batteries for when you'll start trading again.
  • Why "Not Trading" is Important

Knowing when not to trade is as important as know when you should make a trade and experience traders know that trading during holiday time has is shortfalls. Many newbies, often fell the need to be in the market all the time even when market conditions aren't in traders favor, and trading during the Christmas time fall exactly in this category. For a newbie trader holiday trading can be ver

This is my second article about how you can build your own automated strategy without indicators and using Visual JForex. My previous article London Breakout Strategy Using Visul JForex (part 1) has left outside few more things before our strategy can be ready for work, we're going to speak about this in a few moments. By now, your Visual JForex programming knowledge must have picked up and following the next steps won't give you much headache. We already know that our strategy has been broken in three stages:
  1. Calculating the Range.
  2. London Open.

Trading from the comfort of your home has never been more easier than it's today when you have brokers like Dukascopy that provides every trader with the right tools to succeed in this business and ultimately have an edge over others competitors. Many new traders believe that an automated strategy must incorporate some kind of indicators. Well, the truth is you don't actually need indicators to trade, and here comes my article to help you design your own automated strategy using Visual JForex. My last article EMA Crossover System Meets Visual JForex outlined an incredible simple step-by-step guide on how to create your own automated strategy using indicators. Also I strongly recommend you to get used with the Visual JForex interface by watching Dukascopy tutorials.
Unlike my previous article here I'm going to use new blocks and we are going a little bit deeper and make a strategy that's more challenging without using any indicators whatsoever. It's time for y…

This new idea of a market (or bazaar, or exchange, or any other name it might go by) seems great to everyone. Everybody leaves the meeting and spends the rest of the week preparing for the big Saturday ahead of them. The sun rises Saturday morning and the town square is full of excited participants and the air is filled with the buzz of buying and selling. Many of these people will be doing plenty of both since they need to sell their items for florps and then buy the things they need with those florps. (I know, I know. Just stick with me here) Aaron Applegrower is eager as his first customer approaches and sees his basket full of apples. Of course, the first question is, “How much do you charge for an apple?” Again, remember that there’s no magical force dictating price: The power of pricing is in the hands of the two parties who are trying to exchange something. Up until this day, Aaron has always traded with Frank at the rate of 2 florps for 1 apple. That still seems reasonable enough and so that’s the price he quotes to this new customer, who is happy to pay that price. He only needs 1 apple for now, so he hands over 2 florps and gets his 1 apple. Aaron is the seller, this ne…

Why does the price of anything change? Forget the fancy things we trade like currencies, stocks, or commodity futures, but why does anything change in price? In fact, back up one more step: Why does anything even have a price to begin with? If you haven't taken time to devote yourself to learning this topic, you're leaving a giant hole in your knowledge base. It means that you're currently attempting to make a profit from the change in price of something without even knowing why its price is changing. It will take some time to help explain this concept from the ground up, but it will be well worth your patience. To start, I'm going to take you back in time. It's a time where there are no computers, no phones, no communication devices of any kind. If you need to interact with somebody, you'll have to meet them face-to-face. Because of this, any exchange of goods or services (food, clothing, house cleaning, anything) has to be done directly from one individual to another and that has to happen in person.During this time, there are no such things as stocks, bonds, options, equities, or futures, and the only currency is called a “florp”. Florps are a universal currency used by everybod…

True, this is aimed to help build the important basic concepts, so it might be nothing new to someone who is already very knowledgeable. I will be leading this into how to use all of this information in a modern, fast-paced market, though. It just takes some time and needs to be broken up properly and introduced step-by-step.

Hopefully it was still a good read, though! :)

The higher the volatility of the market, the higher the potential profits from the transactions. This assumption seems to be true. Higher volatility means higher risk and higher-risk investments generally carry a potentially higher returns. Note, however, that with the higher volatility of the potential losses are also rising. The finding that higher volatility is a better time for trading seems to be justified. Large price changes allow for an increase of the difference between the open and closed positions, which in turn allows you to achieve a higher return on investment (assuming that the direction of the open position is in line with the direction of change in price of the instrument). In this article has been analyzed variability of instruments that are most popular among investors in the Forex market. In terms of clarification of terms, volatility is defined as the difference in pips between the maximum and minimum in a given unit of time. To analyze were used data for the period 01.2009 – 12.2012. The analysis was carried out for the Central European Time zone. The analysis has been carried out on EURUSD. Figure below shows the change in volatility of EURUSD at particular h…

TIME IN FOREXJune 7, 2013 Time time time what an important concept. It’s difficult to really estimate how important time in the Forex market is. Sometimes if you really think about it, it’s everything! So was a good example yesterday in the EURUSD and GBPUSD it was a time to buy!!! GBPUSD EURUSD EurUSD rallied about 215pips! Amazing! While GBPUSD rallied about 280pips in one day!! Whoa! Even more beautiful is that fact that I collected a 100pips on GU. I bought at just about the lowest point of the day and set my take point for 100ips (proof my username is healer and I am on the traders contest). I also collected a good amount of pips on EurUsd too about 50+. Do you know I wrote on the traders contest on my GU trade when I was entering it that anyone seeing it should follow me? This was over nine hours before the trade took its 100pips profit. How could I have known and be so sure? The answer is simple I knew the time to buy. Timing in forex trading is too important. There are various times in forex trading I would list some and endeavor to explain. 1. A TIME TO WAIT 2. A TIME TO BUY 3. A TIME TO SELL 4. A TIME TO BUY AND SELL TIME TO WAIT This is when your method of trading g…

INTRODUCTION  Improving every day the perception of market moves and price behaviour, should be every trader's first planned target. The second one should be the amount of time to be invested to reach that target, because you must invest your time. Money will be, later, the thing you will use to operate your decisions in market. One of most important things to do while trading is understand if there's a trend, when and where will come to an end. Then, as consequence, you will need to understand what will more probably happen. To do this you should read charts and prices like you are looking a 'time table': there is the time for the up-move, and there is the time for the down-move; in the middle, we have the third one: i call it "ranging". Each of these cycles, is in perfect harmony with the other two, and until one is not ended, the other will not begin.Once a trader understand this above, as immediate consequence, he/she will see disappearing from his/her account statements a lot of loosing trades. MY METHOD I will share step-by-step my knowledge, using my favourite currency pair: GBP-USD (love-it or hate-it).
