Introduction
Humans have really strong tendency to sell assets which brought them profit and avoid to sell those which has shown loss. This reaction is called disposition effect and has major impact on most of trader’s trades. To explain this situation, scientists said that, in general, we avoid grief caused by losing transaction and we are aiming to reach pride caused by wining one. The main question is: Does closing early profitable transaction and keep increasing loss make reasonable trading?

Defining the problem

Every trader should check if he or she undergoes a disposition effect. Identifying problem may help optimizing trader’s outcome.
There are three questions you have to answer and if you answered yes to one of these questions you probably ended up trapped in disposition effect, keeping open losing positions when loss is only increasing in time:
1. If the price will return from the loss to break even point I am going to sell this position.
2. Loss is so big at the moment so I won’t close position because rebuilding capital will take too much time.
3. I will keep losing position because loss is so big it cannot go any bigger further.

Best strategy for news trading I have ever know and at the same time which makes good profit in long run and I have given its name as Double rocket because we will be waiting on both sides to get lunch to sky high in seconds. Rockets are always too dangerous so proper money management requires otherwise we will be busted mean to say our account will become zero in minutes.
In the above picture please check his standing position it’s exactly looks like double rocket position it looks funny but very dangerous. Let’s assume that you’re standing on both the cars and you want to catch the Flight but you don’t know which car will reach the airport and don't know the drivers performance so you decided to check drive capacity and standing on both cars.
Now you have three outcomes:

1. If you selected right car then you will catch the flight and reach your destination.
2. If you selected wrong car then you will get down in the half way and cancel the flight.
3. If you decided to ride on ride on both cars then you will die (Forex account zero) if there is no proper safety.
When and how to apply double rocket strategy?

1. Double rocket will work only at the time of major news release …

Simplest, dumbest, but the best ever :D  just remember to send orders just a  couple of seconds  before release so you avoid the pre release spike. Concerning the news spike, just backtest. Gdp on gbp and usd will always have the spike, usd interest also, nfp when not together with cad employment. These are best to fade, just let it run then go opposite. The rest i think all good for rockets hahah good luck!

Oh and be careful with nzd, rub, try!  Their data like interest rates and gdp will lag, have huuuge spreads, even get you- instrument unavailable, so best skip the release and enter on retracements

Microsoft Excel.

Так что такое "stop loss" и "take profit"?
Как же используются "stop loss" и "take profit"?

Abstract
Stop Loss is often seen as a powerful weapon at the trader's disposal. However, almost everyone has gone through situations where Stop Loss behaved is like a trap.In this article we will analyze these two perspectives that we can give to the use of Stop Loss and with practical examples of its application in JForex.
The Stop Loss
For those who are more familiar with this terminology, a Stop Loss is a negative order instruction that closing our main order. In this context a Stop Loss means a closing order when the market goes against us and forces us to take losses.
It may seem strange and counterproductive that we are closing our order while losing. Why we not wait for the order to be positive and then close the order. This rationale is logical, the problem is when our order does not stay positive and is losing more and more and the use of Stop Loss would have been advantageous.
However, we also have cases where the market fluctuates rapidly and our Stop Loss has been activated, causing losses if we did not have Stop Loss there, our order had a positive result.
Traders sometimes complain that it seems the market was even at the price where our Stop Loss was placed. H…

The Double Top and Double Bottom are reversal patterns. Both patterns are very popular as investors are looking for a new trend, since the current trend is showing signs of a reversal. These chart patterns often create a chart what looks like a "W" (for a double bottom) or an "M" (double top).
The Double Top:
Characteristics of this pattern are that we have an attempt to break above the previous high, but the horizontal resistance holds the price and a new trend begins. As a result, we have two consecutive peaks, which are more or less equal. Recently, we had a very good example of double top pattern in NZD/USD (Picture 1). As you can see, the first element of the Double Top is that the price creates a first top. Then, it falls down and starts creating another move up. The point where the prices reverses to support after the first fall and starts ascending to create another top. The support is important for the final stage where we can measure the TP level.
In the second part, the price starts to move back up towards the resistance. IF the price stalls at the previous resistance and sells off, we have only two elements of the Double Top pattern in place and we still need a confirm…

There is one immutable rule in trade, which is: "Always stick to your stop orders." Before entering each transaction, you should know your risk tolerance threshold. This is - the best way to make sure that your losses are controlled, and you do not get too emotional in their trade.
Trading is a tough business. According to statistics, more traders unsuccessful than successful. But most traders fail not because their market valuations are wrong, but because they are too emotional in the trading process. Their failures are due to the fact that it is too early to close their profitable trades, or allow losses to go too far. Risk should be predetermined. The best time to consider your risk before you place a trade when your market assessments regarding the objective, and your trading decisions free from the price action. On the other hand, if you have already made a deal and want to keep it, until it becomes the winning, it unfortunately does not always happen. You must determine the worst-case scenario for your transaction, and place a stop order on the basis of the calculated risk value or technical level. We emphasize once again that the risk should be predetermined before you ente…

The Big Shadow Candle Trade
Introduction
In this article I’d like to expond on the big shadow candle trade, which is part of the general price action strategy. Price action trades on candles alone because that is where the action is, hence the name. In price action we do not look at indicators (MACD’s, RSI’s, stochs and the whole lot) as these indicators, in my opinion, can trick you into losing trades.
To put it simply, these indicators lag. I’m interested in what will happen in the next 1 hour and not what happened last hour or yesterday. The price action strategy, which is based on candlesticks, like a magic ball, can show us how the price might, in its highest probability, behave in the near future.
One of the standard price action strategies are the bullish or bearish engulfing candles on any time frame above 5 min. But this engulfing candle strategy can, unfortunately, land you in losing trades. The big shadow candle trade is based on this standard engulfing candle strategy, but it has a few more rules that have to be met, therefore making it much more effective.
I have been using this strategy (amongst others) for some time now with good retu…

One of the good practices regarding the placement of trading orders is to set the stop loss and take profit. Sometimes it happens that we are at a very few pips to reach the take profit and close the order. Furthermore, this situation (failed the take profit) could encourage the trading without take profit and stop loss. In this article, we will see a way to avoid this situation and increase our revenues in automated strategies.
When we automate a strategy it is important to define the strategy based on the indicators that we will use and is also a good practice to define previously our stop loss and take profit values.
It sometimes happens that our strategy is only a very few pips to reach the defined take profit.
This very simple code can be added to a strategy putting it on bar closing that our strategy is working. In this case we consider an hourly bar.
This jforex code has the following steps:
First we define the value of our deltaPips (delta to reach the take profit). This piece of code run in all hourly bar closures, search for all orders that are in the FILLED state and verifies if the bar was closed less than x pips (value set in deltaPips) to reach the take profit. If t…

Introduction:
Trend lines are most popular in Forex for technical analysis of market. Most successful traders are using them. But only trend lines are not enough for trading because trend lines show many fake signals or breakouts. Ali’s strategy is new strategy in which many filters can filter the trend line signals and we can prevent fake signals. In this article i will discuss a professional Forex trading strategy with entry, take profit and stop loss rules. Money management will also discuss in it.
How to draw trend lines?

Trend lines are very important level of market. We draw trend line from peak to peak point of market. A best trend line should touch minimum 2 peaks of market. But trend line on more than 2 peaks are more perfect in trading.
Correct trend line example
False trend lines example
Buy Entry Rules:

1:1.5 Risk Management Strategy
Professional trading and risk management

Every day new Forex strategies appears, every day hundreds of people claims that they succeeded in the Forex because they make the holy strategy which can make millions of dollars and the strange thing that they want to sell it to you by 30-40 dollar, really if you search in the net about Forex strategies you will find tons of them but that’s not changing the fact that most traders lose their money in the market.
Why we lose in Forex:

  • Technical analysis is not enough :
You can read one or two books about technical analysis and then become good technical but you may read many books in technical, Japanese candles, divergence, Elliot, astrology and Gann, but you feel that you are not able to trade and if you open life account you lose all money very quickly.I mean by saying “technical analysis is not enough” that you may be wonderful technical but big Forex loser.
  • Fundamental analysis is not enough:

A lot of people knows a lot about countries finance and very careful to follow and predict the life news of counties markets, but really that’s not working because they ignore price levels and the ability for any cur…

jezz avatar
jezz 2014年05月16日

As far as I know (and I don't know much) self discipline is the final holy grail. On the other hand, explaining to a complete bot not to risk more than 1, 2, 3, 4, 5% of the account means nothing. Why? All start accounts are up to 1000$, usually around 500$. So you tell me not to risk more than 5-20$ on my first trade ever? With 0,01mil in the game we talk about SL at 5 pips maybe, give or take a few. I simply think that risk to reward ratio doesn't apply to micro accounts which most beginners have. Self discipline and sticking to the strategy is the first step towards a good risk management

khalidamassi avatar
khalidamassi 2014年05月16日

jezz,Thanks very much for your comment but in micro account every 10 pips (for EUR/USD) equal 1 $ ,so 1% risk of 1000 $ mean that you can make one micro trade with SL at 100 pips not 5 pips as you mentioned ... you enter with 5 micro trades with each 20 pips SL ...please take in your calculations." I simply think that risk to reward ratio doesn't apply to micro accounts " that's very bad thought because it will you off from the market sooner.

khalidamassi avatar
khalidamassi 2014年05月16日

Jezz, I mean it will kick you off from market if you make risky trades and do not strict to reliable reward ratio.
