It is not easy to understand the forex market at first glance. Each of the forex exchange taking place comprise of monetary units which can either be the currencies, services or goods. The prime objective of this article is to shed some light on history of forex trading going back to its roots and how it all started. Read on.
As we travel back to the very beginning of forex trading history, the use of barter system for trading was common. The price of goods was expressed and calculated in the terms of goods only. But the limitations of this system required the setting of a common benchmark of value, as a more general accepted means of exchanging. It was common to see everything from pretty stones to teeth to feathers to serve this purpose. But precious metals, like gold and silver, were looked upon as an accepted means of payment as well as a reliable value. But even this system had flaws and was not efficient.
The history of forex trading reveals that in 640 BC, the currency introduction in the civilization coast of Turkey was a step towards advancement in this field. It was possible to settle on the value through a universal thing and that was currency. It became common to see…

  • What are bitcoins?
  • Advantages and disadvantages.
  • What can influence the price.
  • Regulation.
  • Security.

What are bitcoins?
Bitcoins is a digital currency which is created and exchanged through a peer-to-peer computer network. The idea was created in 2008 and launched in 2009.
Technically, the system works through digital signatures and mining.Miners, process and verify transactions and are awarded with “cookies” bitcoins for doing so.
This is also the way in which bitcoins are created.In other words, the bitcoins supply is generated and controlled through the very same mining activity.
Image 1 - How bitcoin works.

Bitcoins show clear potentials for growth. This would be encouraged by factors such as:
  • User anonymity;
  • No third-party interruptions;
  • Purchases are not taxed;
  • Very low transaction fees;
  • Mobile payments;

However not everything is simple and beautiful, there are also disadvantages in bitcoin:
  • Bitcoins are not widely accepted;
  • Wallets can be lost;
  • Bitcoin valuation fluctuates;

40What is the exchange rate?

The exchange rate is the value of the local currency against other foreign currencies. exchange rate plays a vital role in trade and economic activity of the state, so is the currency moves by central banks as well as investors monitored. the local currency is influenced by a number of factors exchange rate against any foreign currency, those factors are:
The level of inflation:
Whenever the level of inflation rose whenever fallen value of the currency, and vice versa in the case of declining inflation, with high value and purchasing power of the currency. central banks monitor the movements of the local currency, due to the strong impact on the inflation path, where to maintain the stability of inflation is one of the priorities of the central bank of the state. Seeking countries that suffer from the low level of inflation to devalue the currency in order to support the rise in inflation towards specific levels, and this is done through what is known as facilitation measures, which in turn contribute devaluation.
Interest rate:

There is a close combine all of the interest rate relationship, and the level of inflation and the exchange rate. Central …

One of the most popular contests in Dukascopy is Fundamental Analysis. May be that is because it looks very easy at the beginning. But experienced members of the community already know that it is not easy as it seems. Of course for some it is just gambling. Some just follow majority, others go against majority, even some people predict in one direction. I decided to share my way of prediction in Fundamental analysis.
1) Analyzing fundamental indicators
First of all we are looking into historical data of the indicator. Most websites with economic calendar provide historical data and charts of economical indicators. You can use Dukascopy economical calendar or other websites. I mostly use investing.com calendar.
By checking historical data we are looking for trends, cycles, seasonal patterns. Is it rising or falling? How the data behaved this time in previous years?
IMPORTANT! - Forecast numbers are very important. Does it supports the trend or is against the trend? Is it too high or too low? Market ignores small differences in trends but surprisingly different results can shake the market.
2) Trend making and changing factors
It is very important to pay attention to…

Dear friends! In this article I want to discuss such important question as trading JPY by beginners of Forex.
From own experience: we read the recommendations in blogs, forums, books or heard from someone else, know that JPY is better not to touch when you're just starting to learn Forex market. Especially they recommend avoiding trading USDJPY sure if you don’t want to catch stop loss orders as well as Japanese fish.
Looking back, I see, understand, and realize that it is not true. This is just another illusion in the market - an illusion in our minds. The yen is much faster than the other pair, it can teach a beginner one of the most important things of the market - understanding the product with which you are dealing. In this case, the currency.

Just move on to the case and will be brief. Yes, the yen is very volatile and a little predictable, but these deficiencies overlap easily, if at all, do not turn to the pros, as should look at everything from a different angle to look at what can be used and what kind of opportunities. Here are main characteristics of the JPY:
1.) The yen is quite strong currency. Its movements are often stronger than that of other currencies.
2.) …

I have decided to write a follow up to my previous article about GBP due to the fact that last week there was important news coming from the UK which gives insight into the upcoming monetary policy of the Bank of England.
The week in review
On the 14th of July we saw the release of the Consumer Price Index for June which disappointed as it retreated to 0.0% YoY and MoM from 0.1% growth in May. Although the reading was better than in April which saw a drop of -0.1% which was the lowest level in over 50 years, the retreat comes in as a hindrance to the plan of the BoE of embarking on a rate hike schedule. The core CPI, which measures price changes among energy, food, alcohol and tobacco, has slowed to0.8% from 0.9% in May.
These data releases gave a bearish perspective for the GBP. However, afterwards the governor of Bank of England MarkCarney said in his statement that the BoE expects inflation to pick up later this year when the effects of lower oil and food prices subside. Thus, the time for interest rate hikes, which are going to be gradual, is coming closer, however he did not specify when. He said, "the point at which interest rates may begin to rise is moving closer with the p…

United Kingdom economy has been struggling ever since the financial crisis was triggered there with the bank run on Northern Rock in 2008. The Bank of England had to adjust to an expansive monetary policy in order to avoid further slowdown of the economy. It has introduced the quantitative easing program in 2009 and since March 2009 the interest rates have been at it’s historic record low of 0.5%. On the 9th of July 2015 the Bank of England has kept interest rates and asset purchasing program unchanged at 0.5% and 375 billion pounds respectively. Analysts predict that the earliest date for a rate hike could be August 2016.
GBP/USD
Last week we saw the GBP/EUR drop by 0.98% (biggest weekly drop since June 5th) and the GBP/USD by 0.4% (3rd consecutive weekly drop). But more importantly last week the GBP/USD has broken the upward trend line on which it embarked on at the beginning of April and is currently below it.
BONDS
Last week 10 year UK bonds prices depreciated (yields rose by 0.08 percentage points to 2.08%) amid less demand for safe haven assets due to the improvement in negotiation talks between Greece and it’s creditors. Lower demand was also due to the fact, that the planne…

The relationship between currency and other financial markets

Financial markets price movement prediction is successful trading basis. And Experienced traders know, that trading the currency market requires not only knowledge of the forex area. Currency price movement depends not only on macroeconomic developments and other economic news, but also from other financial instruments movement.
Trader, knowing that the currency with which the market is concerned, can predict some of the forex market movements before they happen. To lead in this game and make more informed trading decisions, you need to carefully monitor the related markets.
Stock indices

Stock indices review can provide lots of information about market sentiment, which is very useful to the trader. Market sentiments shows, how comfortable feels market trader. The more you trust it, the more willing to take risks. In general, stock indices upwards when the market sentiment is positive - or, in other words, risk tolerance - and decreases when the mood is negative - or avoid risk.
Assessing the market sentiment, traders analyze these stock indices: S & P500, Nasdaq100 and Dow Jones Industrial Average the United States, D…

Every investment, even treasury bonds bear some degree of risk. It’s in the nature of investing. But the risk of loss in forex market is maybe among the highest. That’s why if you ever decide to invest in this market you’d better realize the risks connected with it.
On the other hand, benefits and advantages of the forex market are maybe even bigger than its risks.
First of all, it’s the huge leverage opportunity offered by brokers. 1/200 leverage has nearly become an industry standard. Some brokers even offer 1/500 -1/1000 leverage. I agree that, high leverage without the necessary money management skills and strategies, is a very short cut to losing your hard earned cash. On the other hand if risks managed properly it offers people who have little capital, the opportunity to trade thousands of dollars. And minimum lot size is 0.01 lot which is 1000 dollars for USD it is even possible to trade with 10 dollars. But If you had decided to trade copper for example at the Comex futures market the minimum lot size is 12500 pounds of copper which worth roughly 37500 USD nowadays.
Secondly, most brokers compensate themselves for their services only through something called bid – ask spre

This new idea of a market (or bazaar, or exchange, or any other name it might go by) seems great to everyone. Everybody leaves the meeting and spends the rest of the week preparing for the big Saturday ahead of them. The sun rises Saturday morning and the town square is full of excited participants and the air is filled with the buzz of buying and selling. Many of these people will be doing plenty of both since they need to sell their items for florps and then buy the things they need with those florps. (I know, I know. Just stick with me here) Aaron Applegrower is eager as his first customer approaches and sees his basket full of apples. Of course, the first question is, “How much do you charge for an apple?” Again, remember that there’s no magical force dictating price: The power of pricing is in the hands of the two parties who are trying to exchange something. Up until this day, Aaron has always traded with Frank at the rate of 2 florps for 1 apple. That still seems reasonable enough and so that’s the price he quotes to this new customer, who is happy to pay that price. He only needs 1 apple for now, so he hands over 2 florps and gets his 1 apple. Aaron is the seller, this ne…

Why does the price of anything change? Forget the fancy things we trade like currencies, stocks, or commodity futures, but why does anything change in price? In fact, back up one more step: Why does anything even have a price to begin with? If you haven't taken time to devote yourself to learning this topic, you're leaving a giant hole in your knowledge base. It means that you're currently attempting to make a profit from the change in price of something without even knowing why its price is changing. It will take some time to help explain this concept from the ground up, but it will be well worth your patience. To start, I'm going to take you back in time. It's a time where there are no computers, no phones, no communication devices of any kind. If you need to interact with somebody, you'll have to meet them face-to-face. Because of this, any exchange of goods or services (food, clothing, house cleaning, anything) has to be done directly from one individual to another and that has to happen in person.During this time, there are no such things as stocks, bonds, options, equities, or futures, and the only currency is called a “florp”. Florps are a universal currency used by everybod…

True, this is aimed to help build the important basic concepts, so it might be nothing new to someone who is already very knowledgeable. I will be leading this into how to use all of this information in a modern, fast-paced market, though. It just takes some time and needs to be broken up properly and introduced step-by-step.

Hopefully it was still a good read, though! :)

In economic crisis many investors put their portofolio in forex market, stock and commodities.Too many people think that put their investments into commodities such gold are best for future, and also many big banks still holding Gold as their financial backup.During hundred years gold became popular as good investment but since gold ever down more than 5% in one day period (it happened two years ago in 2011 when gold suddenly drop down more than 5% in a day period) then gold is no more safety for long term investment.In 2013 many economic analysis predicted gold will be rise up again, they using economic parameters especially global economic issues as the power to bring up gold again, but I dont agree with them!Why? because I saw that market in 2013 will be more pressure gold down.Gold now became populars as the source for speculation beside currencies and stocks. Gold will be more wild than currencies trading or forex in 2013.In my humble opinion gold still will be down 20-30% from its presents price.Why do we need gold? I want to talk about an situation that majority of traders deal with,and that is the possible lines of credit and also margin use.I think one of the most important things to have among technical skills in trading that means a good strategy involving the margin use and also strategic points of buying and selling, is having a certain level of funds to trade .Why having funds is so important to be a successful trader in currency markets ?Because they provide the space need to your pairs to breed for example if you use 5% to 10% of your required margin and you have a account with like 100 000 Usd and you are a stable trader with a secure plan of trading that means never over-leverage your trades, and you have an realistic expectation of 5% to 20% of monthly profits, you will be making 10.000 to 20,000 per month and that is much comfortable in the markets because you make money that is enough for you to have a comfortable life and less stressed about possible profits .In my opinion currency trading can be much less risky than stocks and other type of assets, if you have a correct plan and that is because in general currencies don`t move more than 300 pips a day and the rebound way up or…

While I do agree with the article in general, there's one thing I don't agree with, when you say "realistic expectation of 5% to 20% monthly profits". Using the 20% figure, if the trader compounds it every month, after 12 months he would have a 792% increase in his capital. The only way someone will achieve those extreme returns is by using a lot of leverage, and consequentely having really big drawdowns. 5% may be realistic, more than that over a long period of time is only achievable my only a handful of traders. It's not realistic to expect to make 800% per year in the long run :)

LESSON ONE: PROTECT YOUR CAPITAL Mark sped down the road as fast as he could drive. He had no doubt that the white car he had seen in the rear view mirror was following him. Despite the darkness of the night, the traffic lighting had afforded him a glimpse of the front passenger of the car. The man’s face was partially covered with a hood. Mark assumed the other occupants wore hoods as well. These people meant no good. He had to put as much distance as possible, between him and the hooded fellows. Suddenly, a large and dark jeep appeared in the rear view mirror and Mark determined to stay as close as possible to the jeep if only to take courage in company. A few minutes later, the jeep overtook Mark. He drove even faster to catch up with the jeep which was obviously more powerful than his family car. Then, without warning, the jeep swerved violently across the road and came to a sudden stop. Mark had to master all of his driving skills to bring his car to a halt without hitting the jeep. Confused, frightened and perplexed, Mark stared in utter shock as three hooded men leaped out of the jeep with guns pointed at him. Simultaneously, the white car came to a screeching halt behind…
