WTI trades near highs before U.S. payrolls

West Texas Intermediate oil fell on Friday trading session and was traded close to the strongest figures in seven days as fuel demand outlook in the U.S., the world's largest consumer of oil, improved on recent favourable economic data. WTI for settlement in March slipped as much as 22 cents to $97.62 per barrel on the NYMEX as of 4 p.m. in Singapore.
