I have problem with free margin in J.Forox trading, For example my equity is around 198000 and I try to open a trade on GBPCHF with amount 5, but it wasn't possible and it gave me the amount 3.93 and my used margin has been 197867 but I thought it had to use about 50 of my margin?
Before the close on Fridays leverage is reduced to 30:1 from 100:1 (on live and trading contest accounts). This is both to protect the client and Dukascopy from wild opening gaps which would be cause problems maybe 5 times a year but it's best to be safe.
Either way it doesn't matter as on the open you can use 100:1 again.
on fridays at 2pm EST the margin changes so that you can only use a small amount of your available i don't know why but it does.it will be fine when the market opens next week
